Björn Rietz / Creative Director

Björn Rietz, a copywriter by trade, has had a long, successful career in advertising. Once a student of psychology, creative writing and marketing (University of California San Diego, IHR Stockholm Institute of Higher Marketing), Björn has won a pile of awards for his copywriting skills. In 2001 Björn was ranked as one of the top ten copywriters in the world based on international award shows such as Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, Epica, Eurobest, Guldägget.


In 1990 Björn Rietz co-founded the internationallay acclaimed advertising agency Paradiset which later was acquired by global advertising network DDB. Following more than a decade at Paradiset DDB, Björn was transferred to DDB Australia 2003-2005, then back to help build the DDB-brand in Stockholm 2005-2008 when the local name Paradiset had been removed.


Björn has served as CEO for the Swedish Federation of Communication Agencies (Komm), chairman of Guldägget (The Swedish National Award Show). Before founding RIETZ Björn has been consulting as creative director for American advertising agency GYRO and the German home electronics retail giant Media Markt. Björn Rietz is a certified coach, ACC.

2009 – 2010 CEO, The Swedish Association of Communication

                        Agencies (Komm!).

2010 – 2011 Consulting Creative Director for Gyro advertising

                        agency, Stockholm.

2011 – 2013 Consulting as strategic and creative director for Media Markt.

2013 –          Consulting as copywriter/creative director, Eyes Wide Open.

Johan Johansson / Business Director

Johan Johansson is an Adviser/Strategist with vast experience working with brand development and implementation of brand concepts for clients such as Vattenfall, Ica, Microsoft och Proffice. Previously Creative Director at the brand strategists FutureLab. Also partner at digital communication agency Fivestarday. Alongside with his role at RIETZ, Johan is partner and co-owner of the renowed management consults Xlent where he focuses on consumer insights.

John Jacobson / Designer

John Jacobson specializes in graphic design from the perspective of brand building. He lectures at RMI Berghs School of Communication as well as Beckmans School of Design in design, visual identity and communication. 


John holds a Master of Art from the Royal Academy of Art, Stockholm and worked as an artist until he formed JVD with Annica Vellinga in 1994. John Jacobson is represented at The Museum of Modern Art, Stockholm, The National Museum of Fine Arts, Stockholm, Eskilstuna Museum of Art, Malmö Museum of Art, Norrköpings Museum of Art. 


John Jacobson has a wide experience from working with public service clients as well as the major players within the corporate world. His work for clients such as IKEA, SAS, Swedish Post (Posten) and Vattenfall has rendered him numerous awards.
